Simulating extreme conditions to validate low-carbon technologies
At the Advanced Net Zero Innovation Centre (ANZIC), PNDC has commissioned a new environmental chamber that strengthens its ability to test and validate low-carbon technologies in realistic operating conditions. The chamber can precisely control temperature and humidity, helping researchers and industry partners assess how equipment performs in demanding environments.
In the overview video, the team explains how the chamber supports powered testing of equipment such as inverters, rectifiers, transformers, and other future network technologies. Combined with ANZIC’s megawatt power supplies and dynamometer capability, this creates a powerful platform for demonstrating systems under real-world conditions across heat, transport, and advanced power networks.
Watch the video to see how this new capability will support innovation, validation, and deployment of the technologies needed for net zero.
