PNDC’s 10th Anniversary Conference took place at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre on the 22nd of November, 2023.
Marking a decade of success and impact for PNDC, the DNO supply chain and energy industry changemakers, the event acknowledged, showcased and demonstrated the innovations currently being developed and delivered by leading innovators across the triple helix of industry, academia and government.
The event programme inspired, challenged, and explored the multisector, whole system solutions needed to accelerate the delivery of the just energy transition through continued collaboration across the innovation ecosystem.
Expert speakers enriched the event through engaging and insightful keynotes, panel sessions and innovation forums. The sessions provided a platform to share knowledge and discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead to maximise impact and accelerate commercialisation pathways of novel, low-carbon technologies.
The event also brought together a wide range of exhibitors, from SMEs to DNOs, offering valuable networking opportunities as new partnerships were forged and relationships further strengthened.

Looking ahead to the next decade of innovation
PNDC continues to build on its significant experience in power systems to accelerate and de-risk the development and deployment of novel, low-carbon heat and transport technologies. In collaboration with a wide range of changemakers, we are creating exciting new opportunities for the supply chain through our proven track record and evolving capabilities in whole energy system solutions.
Since opening in 2013, PNDC has become a leading energy innovation hub, successfully delivering over 275 impactful projects and having worked with over 100 companies since 2017. As one of the University of Strathclyde’s industry-facing centres, PNDC engages government, industry and academia through tailored collaboration models and provides open access to our technical expertise and facilities to support the de-risking and demonstration of market-leading products and services.
PNDC provides investors with the evidence base they require for large-scale renewable deployment by providing an industry-scale test bed, with a new leading-edge whole systems facility due to open in 2024 within the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS), further enabling the testing and de-risking of novel technologies.
Get in touch to discuss collaborative opportunities and to find out more about PNDC’s distinct capabilities and facilities.
