Tell us about your role at the PNDC.

I am the cyber-security research lead heading up the communication and system integration theme at PNDC. My research interests are: cyber-security, encryption, IoT, cloud computing, renewable energy resources, autonomous vehicles and drones, data processing and advanced wireless communications. I am working in collaboration with our industrial partners including Vodafone, Cisco, SPEN, UKPN, SSE on several projects dealing with 5G/LTE, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, Blockchain, Cloud and Secure OT/IT convergence.

My recent projects are focused on helping our industrial partners build confidence in their cyber-security strategies and operations. I am responsible for the delivery of our cyber threat response capabilities which enables industry to resist, detect and respond to advanced cyber attacks. My team and I are well equipped to assess the cyber risks, shape the strategy, design the target operating models, define solution requirements, and implement enhancement programmes.
