    Chief Executive Officer

    Will joined PNDC as CEO in 2024 with significant background in collaborative working, bringing together industry, academia and government. Will is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the IET and holds a PhD and a Masters degree from the University of Bristol, UK. His technical background is in Power Electronics, Machines and Drives (PEMD) but most recently has been delivering as a senior leader within Innovate UK.

  • Prof Federico Coffele

    R&D Director

    Federico received a BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, and a PhD from the University of Strathclyde. He has worked in industry and academia in the area of protection, automation and control of distribution networks. As R&D Director at PNDC, one of the University of Strathclyde’s industry-facing innovation centres, Federico leads a growing R&D team, accelerating PNDC’s whole energy systems capability and multi-site operations.

    Director for Strategy & Technology

    Richard is a Chartered electrical engineer and Fellow of the IET with over 33 years experience in energy sector innovation with previous roles at the National Grid, Rolls-Royce plc, Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) and Energy Systems Catapult (ESC). He has a whole energy systems background, and from 2014 to 2018 was a member of the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Advisory Group on Energy.

  • Kathleen Goldie

    Commercial Director

    Kathleen brings a diverse mix of technical and commercial experience from various sectors within the energy industry. She holds a BSc in Mathematics & Physics, and an MSc in High Power Radio Frequency Engineering. Kathleen has held both technical and project delivery roles involving research development and practical on-site implementation. Additionally, she has worked across the public and private sector in business development and bid management roles.

    Operations Director

    Brian joined PNDC in 2022 with extensive operations and project management experience to deliver operational improvement during a significant period of transformation. Brian’s expertise in strategic planning and proven track record in delivering organisational change programmes, optimised workstreams, financial forecasting and resourcing planning is critical in shaping PNDC’s ambitious growth strategy. He oversees Wardpark’s operations and facilities utilisation, and his expertise extends to supporting PNDC’s whole systems facility at Inchinnan.
