Tell us about your role at the PNDC.

I am a Research & Development Engineer at PNDC specialising in protection and control of power systems.

How long have you been working here?

4 months.

What was your background before joining the PNDC?

I have been involved in protection of power systems, fault location in distribution networks, condition monitoring and failure detection of electric power components such as circuit breakers and power transformers. I have received my PhD degree from Istanbul Technical University and then spent one year at Czech Technical University in Prague as a postdoctoral researcher.

What do you enjoy most about working at the PNDC?

The multinational environment with devoted staff, opportunities for developing original ideas into industrial projects which can be initially realised by implementing real-time test studies through the PNDC power network facilities. In addition, the PNDC makes a bridge between academia and industry which helps in advancing the available technologies.

What can we find you doing in your spare time?

Hiking, hanging out with friends, shopping, reading, writing, playing music among others.
