Please tell us about your role at PNDC

As the Business Support and Quality Manager, my post combines two roles. I am responsible for the successful delivery of all administration and business support to meet PNDC business needs, and I also manage the QMS. PNDC has achieved ISO9001:2015 standard and continuous monitoring and improvement is required to ensure continued compliance.

How long have you worked at PNDC?

I joined PNDC in August 2020 (mid lockdown), so have been working from home since my first day. It has been a strange start to a new job and I am really looking forward to meeting all of my new colleagues in person – hopefully soon!

What was your background before joining PNDC?

I have worked within Local Authority for over 30 years and when I joined PNDC, came from a 20-year period working within education. In my last role I managed business support teams, finance and HR across a cluster of establishments (primary schools and early years centres).

What do you enjoy most about working at PNDC?

Although I have not been with PNDC for very long, and all of my time so far has been spent at home, all of the staff have been amazingly supportive, friendly and welcoming. I’m really enjoying the challenges of my new role and learning about all of the exciting projects within PNDC.

What can we find you doing in your spare time?

During lockdown I’ve spent most of my spare time walking. I have a rescue bulldog and we enjoy walks in the woods or on the beach (which are always better with a fish supper to finish!). When I can, I love spending time with my friends and there’s nothing I like more than heading out for afternoon tea with the girls on the weekend. I also love travelling and am usually on a countdown to my next trip.
