The University of Strathclyde will present their findings with SSEN chairing the event. There will also be time for Q&A.
The project aims to understand the requirements and architectures of a future distribution control room as well as assess possible innovations and new technologies that could be used to develop an optimal future control room design (incl. a roadmap to achieve them). Through a mixture of industry engagement and academic insight, this project has informed and accelerated the evolution of the DNO control room. The specifications and recommendations provided by PNDC will influence DNO plans throughout RIIO-ED2 and beyond.
